VLSI Circuits
Research at the Polytechic Institute of NYU
The field of Very Large Scale Integration
(VLSI) encompasses essentially anything having to do with
the design and fabrication of integrated circuits and systems
consisting of a large number of electronic devices. The VLSI/Nanoelectronic
Circuit Design Group at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University is primarily concerned
with the design of VLSI circuits and architectures. Ongoing research
projects in our lab range from the design of low-power systems-on-chips (SoC) to novel nanoelectronic
circuits.
As already mentioned, our efforts cover a
relatively large spectrum ranging from novel nanotechnologies
for integrated circuit design to low-power multiprocessor
systems-on-chips. What is common among all of our projects is the
development of sound design methodologies for digital VLSI circuit
design. We feel these methodologies and the circuits and systems that
result are important in the future development of integrated circuits.

research please feel free to explore the links to the left.
In addition to the research mentioned
above, several courses are offered at NYU-Poly in the
area of VLSI. Some of these are listed here:
